JMC Talk: Mr. Lewis Fung
Mr. Lewis Fung, Managing Director, Hong Kong ABG of SenseTime, was invited to speak at the monthly JMC Talk titled “New trends in artificial intelligence: Application in media and communication” on Jan 20, 2026. He highlighted the new trends and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in video production, AI text-to-image generation, and other areas of our daily life, and shared his insights on how students can prepare to meet the challenges in the media and communication industry.
Lewis is a distinguished technology executive and entrepreneur with a proven track record of 29 years in driving business innovation and strategic growth, particularly in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud technologies.
AI Video Production Workshop
Mr. Aska Yeung, Chairman of Hong Kong Multimedia Design Association and Creative Director of MateZ Lab, was invited to deliver a workshop on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in video production on Jan 19, 2026. The workshop offered students in JOUR201 Audio-Visual Production an opportunity to advance their audio-visual production skills with the application of generative AI technology.

Congratulations to our two fresh graduates (Year-4 students in 2024/25), Ho Tsun San Jansen and Liu Sum Wai Elif, winning the Student Project Awards (SPA) 2024/25! The award presentation ceremony was held on 15 November 2025 at HKSYU.
