Queenie was born in Taiwan and raised in Hong Kong. She is a seasoned media professional who has covered important news extensively across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature at Taiwan National Chengchi University, she is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, a bilingual television anchor, and a vegetarian cookbook author.
She has over 30 years of experience in media, including Television Broadcasting (TVB), Asia Television (ATV), and now TV News. She began her career as a frontline reporter and gradually rose through the ranks to become the management of a news department, where she served as a program producer, news reporter, and financial reporter. She was stationed in the Beijing Bureau for many years, covering major events across China, including the Yushu earthquake in Qinghai and the July 5th clashes in Xinjiang. She has also reported Chinese leaders on numerous global visits, including South Asia, the UK, the US, Europe, Tajikistan, Cuba, and Russia.
She participated in the production and broadcast of numerous historic media projects: served as host of CCTV's special program celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong handover and the live broadcast of the ShenZhou 7 launch, interviewing China's first astronaut, Yang Li Wei. She also covered the World Trade Organization Hong Kong Ministerial Conference, the opening of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the successful Beijing Olympic bid and the entire 2008 Olympic Games, the Tiananmen Square military parade for the 60th anniversary of National Day, the "Hu-Lien meeting" between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the Taiwan regional leadership election, the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, as well as international conferences such as the Boao Asia Forum, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and the G8 Summit.
During her tenure at now News Channel, she produced major specials Program of 75th National Day and the 80th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression; spearheaded numerous collaborative projects with government department (including Hong Kong Police Force, Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau, and Education Bureau); collaborated with Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Our Hong Kong Foundation, and National Games Organizing Committee on numerous special projects, and coordinated the high-end Mandarin program "Now Dialogue."
Dedicated to cultivating journalistic talent, she served as a "principal" for intern journalists for many years, transforming journalistic theory into a practical training system, guiding the next generation of journalists to gain a professional perspective on social dynamics and promoting the development of the industry through the spirit of journalistic professionalism.
