Dr. Ivy Shiming Huang obtained her doctorate degree from the School of Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Journalism and Communication of Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Dr. Huang’s academic interests include the intersection between media design, human-computer interaction, and new technologies of artificial intelligence and the potential of the creation of interactive and immersive systems through extended reality, AI-enabled creative media, and user experience research with the aim of creating a meaningful experience for humans. Her research articles have appeared in internationally reputed academic journals such as the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, ACM Transactions on Human-Robot Interaction, and Computers in Human Behavior Reports. With over a decade of experience as a researcher and technologist, she is determined to impart the necessary skills to her students in this age of changing media.
