The Department of Journalism and Communication invited to showcase student works at “Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF) 2026”

 

The Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF) 2026 (數碼娛樂領袖論壇) was held from 28 to 30 August 2026 at Cyberport. The Department of Journalism and Communication was invited by the host to showcase outstanding student works at the booth and interact with industry partners and the public.

 

Mr. Edgar So, Associate Professor of Practice at the Department of Journalism and Communication, was invited as the moderator of the panel session “City Memory: Letting History Speak” to explore how AI breathed new life into valuable historical archives, transforming them into creative assets for storytelling, education, and cultural expression. Panellists were Mr. Yuen Siu Cheong (Assistant Curriculum & Content Development Director), Mr. Barry Chan (Chief Digital Officer & Head of FINNOSpace, FORMS HK), and Dr. Leung Chi-hin (Founder, Innovative Music Zentre). The panel examined how AI tools made it easier to unlock the past, fuel innovation, and give urban history a contemporary voice, shaping the future of digital culture and heritage preservation.
