Year-3 BA-MDIT students crowned as the Silver Winner at the 2026 MUSE Creative Awards (Student Conceptual Design)

Congratulations to a team of three Year-3 students of the BA (Hons) in Media Design and Immersive Technology, Chen Gongyue, Chen Tingyi and Li Zaidan, as the Silver Winner of the 2026 MUSE Creative Awards within the Student Submission - Student Conceptual Design category! The team is coached by Dr. Dina Ding, Assistant Professor at the Department of Journalism and Communication, HKSYU.

Their creative work titled “Infinite Nexus”, which is initially a group project in MDIT310 Asset Creation for VR/AR, is a conceptual design aiming to address the difficulty of recycling marine waste and the massive heat dissipation demand of AI training clusters. “Infinite Nexus”, which builds a sustainable model integrating environmental, energy and social values, is derived from the appearance of the entire marine waste recycling station reflected in the water, resembling an infinity symbol. The team hopes that this station will become a hub for the conversion and utilisation of marine waste in the future.
