Part-time Lecturer

Jefferson has been a technological pioneer and serial entrepreneur in Hong Kong. He is an over 45-year veteran with software development and management experience on large scale information technology systems. He worked for IBM, Renful Chinese Computer, Jardine Logica, Unisys (Sperry), etc. in late 1970s and 1980s. He also started an ISP operation in late 1995, pioneered the development of a Bilingual Search Engine in 1996, and entered the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park in 1997. After the Internet bubble burst, he got into the Science Park again with a mobile POS using Palm OS in 2000. Since then, Jefferson has been focusing on IT Applications for SME, Retail Solutions, E-Marketing, Open Source, Software Quality, Information Security, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and now Web3 Metaverse. He has more than 50 innovative and entrepreneurial mentees from HKSTP, Cyberport, CUHK, HKUST, HK PolyU, HK CityU, HKU, and other associations such as HKCS, BCS, and AAMA.

Jefferson graduated in 1977 as a Bachelor of Science in Electronics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He got his Master of Computer Science degree from Iowa State University, USA in 1982.
