With over 20 years working in the printed media, Gary is a seasoned photojournalist specializing in breaking news. The news organizations that he had worked for included The Express (快報), The Standard (虎報), Hong Kong Economic Times (香港經濟日報), Sing Tao News Corporation Limited (星島日、晚報), Eastweek (東周刊), and 16 years with Apply Daily (蘋果日報).

Gary studied professional photography at the H.K.C.S. Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre. The masters in the field that he admires include Ansel AdamsHenri Cartier-BressonJimmy NelsonJosef KoudelkaRobert Capa and Ueda Shoji (植田正治). He is now a freelance photographer, continues his journey in capturing the beautiful and precious scenes in life.  From recent years, Gary, together with two other local photojournalists, have started a project on Fukushima (福島), with a main objective of recording the scenes after the tsunami. The project is still in progress.

Life wise, Gary appreciates things and craftsmanship with aesthetic values. He is a big fan  of Andou Tadao (安藤忠雄). He is passionate in gastronomy, an enthusiast in cooking, and also a keen runner. Do feel free to share your experience with him on nice food, or ask for advice on good running shoes, apart from cameras and digital gadgets.
